Thai Morning Glory for Lunch :o)

Who would have thought Thai version of morning glory is kangkung. I've always thought they were special kind of morning glory plant from Thailand. I remember dad arguing with me that it was kangkung and not morning glory when we ate a similar dish at Chiang Mai few years back.

I should have "Google" it back then. I wouldn't have bought them again thinking they are Thai specialty plant. The thing is I am not really a big fan of water spinach. Strange enough I don't mind eating morning glory.

Will I buy them again? May be not. It has nothing to do with the price. It is not expensive. It cost me only £1.99 for a pack containing 225g. The only reason why I am not buying them again is because they are kangkung! I still have phobia eating them after reading a forwarded mail I received back then.

225g Thai Morning Glory (aka ung choi, kangkung or water spinach)
1 tsp yellow bean paste
1 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
4 clove garlic (minced)
2 red chili (sliced)

Saute garlic and chili till garlic almost turn brown. Add the morning glory. Stir fry for few minutes. Add both yellow bean paste and vegetarian oyster sauce.
