Goodbye Adventures! Hello Yoga!

Bleinham, September 2011

I haven't been exercising for almost two years now. I've stopped zumba completely when I found out I was pregnant last year. I stopped practicing yoga completely when I was three months pregnant. I find myself sleeping on sofa with my Skype and television turn on more than doing any physical work. I wanted to go on intensive yoga when I was back in KL but I was told to wait for another 6 months till my body fully recover before I embark on yoga again.

I can and I should by right start doing yoga again in summer. I tried but it annoys me when I sweat. Its hard practicing yoga during summer. Don't ask me how I did it years ago when I was in KL. Instead of attending any yoga classes I dragged my husband on Great Britain tour. We visited quite a few places during summer. I consider my short trips as part of my exercise regime.

It's autumn now. Its getting colder each day. Its harder to travel this days. The day gets dark by 5.00p.m. It's not worth the effort exploring new places in autumn or winter. I would rather hibernate at home. I spend more time at home this days. I've been working out a little this days. It was frustrating at first. I couldn't believe my body is now as stiff as a stick. It took awhile for my body to adjust to each poses. I almost couldn't balance myself when I do sun salutation. The painful part was to feel all the fat bulging out each time I do different pose. That to me was disgusting.

It has been a week now. I've make a point to spend at least 30 minutes to an hour in room practising simple yoga poses. I have to say I am loving it. I am hoping to lose the fats before Christmas and New Year :)

My way of life: Not to do evil, to cultivate merit, to purify one's mind - this is the Teaching of the Buddhas (Dhammapada verse 183).
