German Black Forest Cake


My first homemade Birthday cake for hubby. It's a German Black Forest cake. I still need lots of practice on the decorations.

The cake is fluffy and light in texture. The kirch based cream is sinfully good. It blends well with the sour cherry. The dark rice vermicelli makes the whole cake extra chocolate-y :)

This cake is perfect for Birthday and Christmas. To all my friends out there, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance (just in case I don't blog in next few weeks).
