Staying healthy on a sickly day

Two healthy looking individual smiling :). I rarely fall ill but when I do it will take a long time for me to recover. I've been ill since Friday but it wasn't anything like Saturday evening or today. My belly feels squeezy. My chest, nose and throat is numb. I've been relying on Beecham and Strepsils for the past few days.

Hubby worked from home today. He is lucky I somehow manage to find the energy to cook and juice today. He didn't like the gingery noodle soup with iceberg lettuce, goji berry and sausage balls I made but finished it because he was hungry (he ate his lunch at 4.55 p.m). I have a strong feeling it's because the soup is a little too plain for his liking. I used ginger strips (sauté with sesame oil), 1.25 bowl of water, half a bowl of Rochester ginger drink, 0.25 bowl of Stones Ginger Wine and 1 OXO chicken stock (my emergency stock) for the soup. I'm very sure he would have preferred a bowl of Indimie goreng with 2 sunshine egg and sausages instead.

Trying to fulfil the 5 a day fruits and vegetables requirement. Organic broccoli (don't judge), 2 oranges, 1 grapefruit, 2 pears, and a knob of ginger.

Here's something to soothes our throat. Concentrated lemon juice from 1 lemon mixed with 3 litre water.

I don't think we will be eating dinner today eventhough I've got something cooking in slow cooker. I'll write about it soon (if the recipe turns out a success). I will probably pack the dish and continue to grill or bake (I haven't decide) it tomorrow.
