Stir fry Green Bean (Mung) Bean Sprouts

Here is a simple meal I cooked with homegrown mung bean sprouts. It's a very simple and healthy dish. The combination of cherry tomatoes, celery and multi colour mini sweet peppers add colour to the dish.

In my opinion, there is no right or wrong when it comes to dishing up a bowl of sprouts. I've added different kinds of vegetables. My fussy eater a.k.a. a meat-lover hubby eats without any complain. The trick is to make sure the bowl of vegetable is vibrant in colour.

Here is a rough guide to my stir fry mung bean sprouts.

2 celery stick
A handful cherry tomatoes
2 large handful mung bean sprouts
1 yellow mini pepper
1 orange mini pepper
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 clove garlic

  1. Saute garlic for a minute or so. Add in mini peppers and mung bean sprouts. Stir fry for a minute or so. You may want to add a little water (or even homemade chicken stock) and close the pan with a lid if you like your vegetables a little softer in texture.
  2. Add tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.
